• Southern Tennessee Cancer Center’s director, Henry J. Goolsby, III, MD, is Franklin County’s first and only full-time board-certified medical oncologist. He offers complete diagnosis and treatment of cancer using some of the most advanced treatments and technologies available today, including experimental drugs and research protocols.

• Dr. Goolsby completed his oncology/hematology fellowship at the prestigious Mayo Graduate School of Medicine and is the 2005-2006 president of the Franklin County Medical Society.

• Dr. Goolsby is on the advisory board of the renowned Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center Affiliate Network in Nashville and was the first oncologist to bring the clinical trials of Vanderbilt University into the rural area, and the only one to do so in Franklin County.
